The UK is currently suffering from a huge debt mountain. Many people, particularly those in the middle income groups, are finding their financial situation is difficult to manage.
Too many families are using most of their income to pay the mortgage and the bills. But they also have monthly credit card payments and loan repayments to make. They simply don’t have any spare cash for leisure or emergencies. When something goes wrong then far too many people are unable to cope with the problems which can rapidly escalate into real family difficulties.
It is often said that most marriage break ups are over money! I don’t know how true that is but it is certainly true that money problems damage relationships and are a significant factor in family breakups.
What can people do?
I don’t want to pretend that I have an easy answer because I don’t; every person and situation is different. But many people don’t know how to start sorting out their problems or know what they need to do! So I would like to draw their attention to various options that could help to alleviate their problems. I am not giving specific advice to any person, but this website has a number of options that people can investigate and evaluate for themselves. Most really are fairly obvious!
